Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Brazilian Sugaring.
Wear loose clothing, avoid shaving for at least two weeks so hair is about a quarter inch, and gently exfoliate 24–48 hours before. Arrive clean and avoid heavy lotions, sunscreens, or tight underwear to ensure the best sugaring results.
Some discomfort is normal, but sugaring is usually less painful than waxing because paste adheres to hair not skin. Our technicians use soothing techniques and post-care to reduce irritation; regular sessions generally become easier over time.
Appointments usually last 30–45 minutes for experienced clients; first-time visits may take up to 60 minutes to include consultation and skin prep. Timing depends on hair density and client comfort. We prioritize thoroughness and a soothing experience.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, intense exercise, and tight clothing for 24–48 hours. Apply soothing, fragrance-free moisturizer and skip heavy creams or exfoliation for two days. After 48 hours, gentle exfoliation and regular moisturizing help prevent ingrown hairs.
Typically schedule appointments every four to six weeks, depending on personal hair growth. New clients may need slightly shorter intervals; over time hair becomes finer and sessions can be spaced farther apart. We’ll recommend a personalized schedule at your visit.
Sugaring is gentle and often suitable for sensitive skin, but you must disclose medications, recent retinoid use, pregnancy, or skin conditions. Some medical issues can contraindicate treatment. We offer consultations and patch tests to assess safety and adapt techniques as needed.
